Hi All,
I would like to give everyone an update on Sandy Reynolds case.
(A refresher: she is the one that the PA Game commission stole 13 of her animals back in March 2003. She has been fighting to get them back since then..she has a USDA for all the animals. Two years ago, the pgc told her she did not need any other permits, but this year they decided she did need a state permit, so they came to her house with pointing guns, cops and viciously took her animals. Put them in a poorly run rehab center.. Her wallaby died due to stress and lack of care. The other animals are not doing good. they are thin and sickly looking.. Keep in mind though, these animals were very healthy and happy when they were with Sandy)
Months later, she got her citation.. $30,000.00 in fines.
Thousands of dollars and many court hearings later.
The November hearing, the judge ruled in her favor.
The judge told the pgc, they are to return her animals..
Well, the pgc feels they don't have to obide by the court.
They refused to return her animals. (which they now call them their animals)The Pgc said that hearing meant nothing.
Ok, so Sandy gets another hearing to petition the court of the return of her animals.. This hearing was on Dec 3. That latest is, the judge is to make a decision and let everyone know.. His decision could take up to months..
For the life of me, I cannot understand how the pgc has more power over the court system..
