Ok this is a subject that affects all animal lovers, I know it is about horses but I have many mixed feelings about this subject.

In all honesty..... I can say I think cloning is not my favorite among scientists ideas, but I am sure they have their purpose in mind.

I am going to move this thread to debates. Lets all be nice though. lol

Not sure sure how I feel about cloning in animals. One I don't really understand the purpose and two, I am TOTALLY against it in humans. Test tube babies and artificial insemination are one thing, but to make an exact duplicate seems odd. Reminds me of the movie "Multiplicity". Too many copies can become distorted.

I really like the idea of Cloning, I mean one of me could go to work and the other stay at home, can't get any better than that! lol!!!

I think Dolly the sheep is a perfect example of the simple fact that science just doesn't have it right yet. How many other animals are going to have to suffer like she did with premature aging symptoms? Do we afford clones the same rights as normal animals (or people for that matter)? Which would mean amending some cruelty statutes for animals, and pretty much every law on the book for humans. There are so many questions that the scientists can't answer and the legislators are decades behind even addressing. Of course, science will march on with or without public approval, and I don' t doubt we'll see the technology improve - all the while, the debate will rage. :)

Well I see no problem in cloning. This might oneday prove to be the best thing science has to offer. It shows the possibility of the human mind and the advances of our society. However their is always consiguences in doing cloning. It does effect whoever the animal that is being clone and yes it is said if something happens but I gues in all honesty we have no choice. We can start cloning humans I gues they figure it is more dangerius then cloning animals because of the ability of intelligence to escape or worse cause harm to themselves or others. Not saying animals are not inteligent just the degree of intelliegence is.
