That cat does not look very happy. It looks like shes wearing fur socks. That is funny and sad at the same time.

Thats actually a very common cat groom , alot of people like their cats to resemble Lions, and that particular clip is called the Lion clip, it is more commonly seen on persians because of their coats, it is easier to take care of and more humaine than letting them walk around with matts on them.

He looks a bit embarrassed. I sure wish they had at least left a little fuzz on his body instead of shaving him to the skin. The only time I think that should be done is if they are matted to the skin and it is the only resort.

It's funny looking! But at the same time, I don't like it. I agree Brenda. I think it should be the last resort and if you have a long haired cat and you don't get it groomed enough, or brush it everyday to prevent serious matting then you don't need to own a long haired cat.

You would be surprised then if you were a groomer Brenda, all my years of being a groomer people would bring persians to me matted up and they thought that clip made them look so much better and then I have had some people bring their persians in not matted but still want the Lion clip. I know if I had a persian I would never do that to mine but some folks like it, its even really common on Chows, kindof looks the same to me as those poodles with the bald butt and big balls on their buttox LMAO!!!!

LOL! I'm not surprised at all Jenny. I think it is a good idea in a flea infested area. I helped a groomer for a couple of years. I was sooooo disgusted:mad: with people that brought in their longhaired cats matted LITERALLY from the end of their tail to the top of their head!! Yuk! How can you pet a cat with so many matts??? Then when they're shaved to the skin, they feel like snake skin LOL! I can see a few matts in the pit area and back legs, but come on people??? Matts like that must hurt!

Hey Jenny I think that's cool you are a groomer , hand raised lovebirds and now raise chinchillas! My kind of gal. I worked in a pet store for many years and did very similar things such as handraising birds! That is hard work.

I forget the story pertaining to this cat pic going around the internet. Something to the effect that there was a major misunderstanding at the groomers LOL Obviously!

haha actually I raised all types of birds, from small parakeets to large macaws, got tired of the noise so I sold out, I enjoyed it in my younger days and was so addicted to birds, I traveled all over to birdfairs and showed some of my birds and I won several ribbons and money for my birds, Now with my addiction to chins I cannot for see me ever getting tired of them :)
