Ok for all you breeders that have a nice size herd , where do you buy bulk of chinchilla dust? I have visited several websites that sell bulk but darn the shipping is more than the dust itself, I last bought my dust from a lady at the Ohio show and I got a really awsome deal plus it saved me on shipping cost but before that I was buying 50lbs at a time from Nutritional Research, anyone know anyone that is cheaper on shipping this stuff??

Jenny, I buy from Audie and pay like $15 for 50lbs. But last time she brought it to me. 50lbs of anything is gonna cost a lot. At the very least though, Audie will look of the cheapest shipping option at the time.

Hey Jenny, I do take paypal. I have a site, but I don't think I have listed the 50lb bag of dust. It is just too high to ship. I have shiped it mainly because most breeders have no choice but to pay those high shipping costs. They are a pain. If I have your zip I will look up with UPS, Fed Ex ground (home delivery), and USPS. I just looked up a zip in GA and here where the results:

FED EX ground - $18.55
USPS - $23.86
UPS - $28.20

That is awful because even the cheapest rate is still higher than the dust! Too bad you don't live near me or I would just drive to bring you several bags.

Oh, I do have a friend that lives is KY right near MS.. she is coming to see me the first week of July, I could have her take back a few bags if you live anywhere near her.

Audie actually the fed ex is alot cheaper than what I have found through other sites, chinworld wants $29 for 50lbs and Chinchilla Rancher wants $44 for 50lbs to ship so if you can ship me 50lbs through fed ex I will get hubby to send you a paypal when he gets home, will that work for you?

Looks like fedex is going to be around $15.46 to your zip. If you want to email me your address, I can get this out and just send an ivoice with the totals. Then you can paypal or mail a check back if you want. Now I gotta go look for a box to put it in LOL!

I get mine from the Ryersons or the Whitewoods. Rich Ryerson is a truck driver, I don't know all the states he goes to, but he meets me all the time, I live right down the street where he has a drop off.

yep, Audie supplies me with dust too. Sure is nice being able to drive down the road and pick up a bag (sticking tounge out at everyone - lol)....I hate ordering timothy hay on line too, it cost more to have it shipped than the hay!

Jenny, just thought I would let you know, I did find a way to ship fedex so your price wont be high. I was out by the airport last week and there was a drop off there. I did just look up the tracking number and thought forsure it would have been there by now, but nope it is still in FL of all places. They are suppose to deliver it this week. I am sorry it is taking forever. Their site said 2 days... they lied, but some could be from the bad weather we had last week and monday being a holliday. Just let me know if it makes it ok. I am starting to worry!
