Intro's

Well Mesquite and the 3 girls did wonderful all day yesterday. Until last night. :( They started ganging up on him in the middle of the night. Fortunately my chins are in my bedroom. I got my mom up to seperate them. He had a little wound on his finger, and Abbie the oldest and biggest female had a nip on her nose.

I am sooooo bummed!!!:( He is closed off in the bottom section of the cage. We are gonna try daily. But Audie is coming next weekend and if it hasn't worked by then, she is bringing some wire show cages she has. We are gonna put a girl in each, and let Mesquite have free run. I'll probably do it overnight since thats when they started on him. That way they will be forced to be around him and forced to be submissive.

Well I realized that it was Abbie that was the problem. Funny thing is, she is my most sweetest laid back chin. I will always have Abbie, wether it be pet or breeder. But she is also my oldest chin. She is 4 years old. Anyway, I tried again, and it was her that was attacking Mesquite. The younger girls just joined in the chase.
So yesterday, I decided I would slowly try each of the younger girls with Mesquite. We tried Keira, the homo ebony... she is the more laid back compared to her sis Cheyenne. It worked great. 1 down, 2 to go. We are gonna put Cheyenne in today. With Abbie we are definately gonna have to do the torture chamber. She will be put in a show cage inside the cage. How long should I do this before releasing her? I was thinking overnight at least?? I'm not doing this until this weekend. My main concern is getting the younger girls to accept him. That is primarily who he was for. If worst comes to worst, and it don't work with Abbie (which I cant stand for her to be alone and she loves the girls so much, she raised them) I will keep her as a pet and surrogate mom. She is the best surrogate mom.

Sorry to hear that Misty :( It will workout though eventually, hey if I can do it with one of my hardest females to pairup then you can do it with yours, I have paired up 6 chins since I been off work and here is my lastest pairup, I left them in the torture chamber togeather over night and at 6am the next morning I put them in a cage togeather and wala, here is the happy couple :)

Over night may not even be neccessery. One of my hardest chins came from my vet. While she was there my vet did a big no no and switch her single male back and forth between 2 females she could not intro. Blaze got pregnant and killed the male when he came back from a visit with Kia. She never trusted Blaze again and she has lived with only her daughters every since. I knew it was not Blazes fault so decide to try for my self.

Well Blaze went into the cage and right away attacked both Dusty and Dove BAD!!!!!! It was brutal. I took the little cage, put her in it and after 3 hours she was grooming and kissing all over both of them. They have been together for a week now and sleep all over eachother. So if it only takes a chin labled "killer" a few hours, I am sure sweet Abby will do well.

I really hope this works for you. Abby has always been hard to intro, but once done she is a total love bug!

I hope so! It is still up in the air if it will be sat or sun. If sat I will have to come without Ronnie and the kids cause that is his nephews first b-day. They really want to come, but the breeder would like to do something for mothers day, so I have no idea what to do. She said she would be there for me but I really really want to come on sat. LOL!
